This document analyses labour segregation by gender in the municipalities of the AMB, the RMB, and the province of Barcelona between 2012 and 2022. The results show that the municipality of Barcelona presents a lower labour segregation than the rest of the areas. In comparison, the rest of the AMB and the rest of the RMB are the areas with greater labour segregation. Regarding the evolution of the segregation index between 2012 and 2022, labour segregation has decreased in all the areas analysed, especially in the rest of the AMB, followed by Barcelona and the whole of the AMB.
