The pandemic crisis and the subsequent economic reactivation have had an unequal impact on the metropolitan population and their living conditions, generating higher levels of socioeconomic vulnerability in some groups of the population. This is the central theme of this monographic study, which uses data from the Metropolitan Statistics on Living Conditions (EMCV) 2021-2021 to update the analyses on the evolution of poverty and social inequality in the metropolitan area of Barcelona in the last years.
