The report analyses the evolution of urban vulnerability in the metropolis of Barcelona, focusing on the heterogeneity with which it manifests itself in the neighborhoods and identifying the main disadvantaged areas of the metropolis. The results reaffirm the patterns of persistence, concentration and complexity of urban vulnerability in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. There is also a slight reduction in the intensity of urban vulnerability, especially in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of the metropolis, explained mainly by the decrease in social vulnerability. There is also a typology of disadvantaged neighbourhoods depending on how urban vulnerability manifests itself in each of them, identifying up to five different combinations of social and residential vulnerability. Finally, seven transmunicipal vulnerable areas vary in intensity, number of neighbourhoods and level of internal homogeneity are delimited.
