Neighbourhood statistics on living conditions and opportunity structures (ECVEO) is a new statistical instrument that reports at the neighbourhood level on four main thematic axes: income, living conditions, equal opportunities, and community dynamics.

It is a pioneering database with more than a hundred indicators, which has been developed by the Social and Urban Cohesion Area of the Metropolis Institute and the Area of Social Sustainability, Life Cycle, and Community of the Diputació de Barcelona. The aim of this new statistical instrument is to promote innovative and territorialised knowledge that provides new instruments for analysing and monitoring the reality of neighbourhoods in the province of Barcelona and that helps guide public interventions in socio-urban terms.
