This report gathers the information obtained during the fourth year of the MBMS Metropolitan Butterfly Monitor Scheme project (mBMS, 2023) for 31 parks and beaches in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) and a comparison with the results of the 2019-22 period for eight selected parks and beaches. A total of 7,202 butterflies corresponding to a total of 44 different species, found in 480 samplings, were observed in 2022 by 43 volunteers who participated.
