This study analyses the impact of the social pricing system implemented in the 2017/2018 academic year in Barcelona’s municipal nursery schools in terms of social equity. The research examines the social composition of school children, their use of municipal nursery schools and the quantification of the impact of the new public pricing system on social equity in services. The positive and improved aspects of the survey “To identify the family profiles present or close to municipal nursery schools” are also pointed out to be used as an analytical resource to capture the social profiles and accessibility logics of families present or close to municipal nursery schools.
