The main objectives of this research are to study how people living in vulnerable areas of heat perceive the increase in temperatures and the effects on their health, what measures they take to adapt, and evaluate their knowledge and use of adaptation mechanisms promoted by administrations. The results will serve to inform the design of fair adaptation public policies, providing data on the available adaptation options, the barriers faced by the most vulnerable households, and adaptation actions that need more public support.
